Subject: Change of Convener
 
 
Folks,
 
My three-year term as convener of WG21 concludes this September, and I've
decided it's a good time to pass the responsibility on to someone else.
 
As you may know by now, my company, Tartan Inc., has been acquired by Texas
Instruments this month.  We'll be remaining in Pittsburgh, but I'm
looking forward to having new challenges with TI, and would
like to devote all my time and energies to them.
 
At least one person has already volunteered to take over as convener, and
therefore I'm sure the transition will go smoothly.  I will of course be
at the Stockholm meeting, and the new convener will probably take over
beginning with the Hawaii meeting.  The official transfer will likely occur
at the SC22 plenary meeting in London this September.
 
I've particularly enjoyed working with all of you in SC22 and CT22,
and hope that I will do so again.
