SC22 goes webbing
Copenhagen, 1996-02-01 (SC22)
By: Keld Simonsen
SC22 is now in the process of going online,
as decided at its last plenary meeting in Annapolis, September 1995.
The SC22 pages are a deriviate of the
SC22 prototype WG web pages.
The SC22 web pages contain the following:
- index - with:
- Shortkeys to other pages
- A short intro to SC22
- a link to the ISO web page of SC22 standards
- a list of working groups and freestanding projects
- list of the rest of the pages
- reference to member bodies for contact
- news - with individual articles
- report - latest secretariat report
- projects - programme of work
- internals - for the work of the SC: access to ftp archive, emails
- meetings - including next meeting
- contacts - membership, liaisons, related areas
The "internals" section is for confidential information,
such as standards and other copyrighted work, SC
documents and email, and provisions are
made for accessing this information via a userid and
passwords. The rest of the information scheduled as per this
web structure has been checked with the
proposed JTC1 guidelines
(JTC1 E3778)
and should be OK for general distribution, as the following document
types are classified for "open" distribution: Document register,
secretariat report, programme of work, meeting notice,
meeting agenda, meeting report, meeting resolutions, together
with procedural information.
A number of ressources are drawn upon, including the ISO and IEC
web servers, and the document lists provided by Danish Standards.
