At the 25-29 October 2004 JTC 1 Plenary meeting, the following resolution
was approved by JTC 1:

Resolution 25-Establishment of a JTC 1 Ad Hoc Group on the JTC 1 Directives
JTC 1 establishes a JTC 1 Ad Hoc on JTC 1 Directives to handle any
outstanding JTC 1 Directives issues resulting from this Plenary meeting in
Berlin as well as issues arising from the February 2005 Directives
Maintenance Team meeting in Geneva.  The Terms of Reference for this Ad Hoc
are as follows:

*         The Ad Hoc will use the conclusions of the DMT meeting as guidance
in its work

*         Deliberations of the Ad Hoc are limited to consideration and
disposition of the

items enumerated in JTC 1 N 7660. SCs are invited to take particular note of
item 5 in N 7660.

*         The Ad Hoc is empowered to issue 60 day Letter Ballots if
necessary.

 

The Ad Hoc Group will be chaired by the JTC 1 Chairman.

 

The Ad Hoc Group will meet on 10-11 February 2005 in London, England, hosted
by the U.K.  


JTC 1 instructs its Secretariat to issue a call to National Bodies and
Subcommittees for participation in this Ad Hoc Group and attendance at the
February 2005 meeting.

 

The Ad Hoc will report on its activities to the JTC 1 2005 Plenary in
Canada.



SC 22 National Bodies are asked to identify any individuals who wish to
participate on the Special Working Group on Accessibility and inform the SC
22 Secretary by 15 December 2004.
